Mobile Chair rack

Mobile Chair Rack

The chairs used for meetings have been stored under the stairs and are always sliding away from their allocated area. The solution has been simple to someone with a bit of imagination and the ability to weld. Enter Greg Knox. What a great job Greg has done. Generally we think of club members as woodworkers & not having metalworking skills. However Greg designed what was needed, obtained the appropriate metal then cut & welded the chair rack.

Well done Greg & thanks!

Timber Available

At the recent WoSP working bees the workshop & container has had a real clean up. An excellent job has been achieved by the volunteers. Thanks for the time you contributed to help.

The container has been cleaned up and a lot of timber not required for toys has been discarded and has been dumped by the container. You are invited to review what is there at any time and take what you need.

Workshop Landscaping

Planter Boxes Added

As each week goes by the workshop is becoming more settled. Currently Gordon Waddingham is building a store room in the SW corner to house the merchandise, club security cameras & documentation. Planter boxes have been built by Dennis Conner & Hillview Quarries have donated the plants in each box. These have been placed to keep parking away from all garage doors.

Still lots to do but everything looks great

More space for the wood workers

In 1996 a small group of men obtained Council permission to use as a workshop an existing dilapidated 25 sq meters gardeners shed which was behind the Rosebud Community House. At the official opening in 1997, after repairs and an extension the workshop had been extended to 48 sq metres.

In 2002 the demand for more space meant the workshop had to be increased to 250 sq metres. Now in 2019 the new Woodworkers of the Southern Peninsula workshop will be increased to 348 sq metres.
