Recently Bunnings approached WoSP to build a box for the “Share the Dignity” Campaign.
Rob Oram & Gordon Waddingham stepped forward and built the box in no time at all.
Bunnings organised the paint job. Now the box sits in the Bunnings foyer in Rosebud for the public to make donations supporting victims of domestic violence.
The box can be disassembled and transported to any location to support this important campaign.
Congratulations to Syd Johnson who in 2021 raised $480 for the Movember cause. While his target was $500 the amount raised was up from the $315 in 2020.
Since 2003 following his experience with prostate cancer Syd has raised $4,782.
This year Syd tried for the look of the fourth musketeer, D’Artagnan.
Many thanks to his fellow WoSP members who have contributed to this year’s efforts.
At the 2021 Toy Handover to local charities, the Rye Lions stepped up & donated $250 to Greg Millar, the club Secretary. With Covid limiting the amount of work that both Woodworkers of the Southern Peninsula & the Rye Lions could do Greg expressed his sincere thanks for the donation.
The money will go towards the 2022 toy making program.
The Woodworkers of the Southern Peninsula have worked all year to make toys for charities to distribute to children for Christmas. The charities present for the toy hand over were the Salvation Army & Food for All.

Ritchies IGA is well known for its IGA Rewards program whereby loyal shoppers are rewarded. With your registration to the program you can nominate our woodworkers club to benefit from your purchases.
Many years ago the Woodworkers of the Southern Peninsula registered as a community service which can be nominated when you sign up for a card.
Each time you scan your card when making a purchase at any IGA store, the total is recorded to your chosen club, school or charity account. At the end of each month,Ritchies will pay your chosen club, school or charity .5% of the total accrued directly into our club’s bank account.
Pick up your card application at the club workshop or at your local Ritchies IGA!
