Tony Haigh's Lidded Box

Tony Haigh is a experienced woodturner who is the Session Leader on Friday afternoons for beginners and advanced woodturners alike. You can download his FREE detailed plans on how to make this very special lidded box with a finial top by clicking on the picture above.

Tony also puts his outstanding pierced wood technique to use making elegant candlesticks as well!  He is happy to help you learn this special skill!!

Carrie is a club member and has recently made some beautiful turned pieces including this beautiful Sea Urchin Light.

During lockdown Carrie has been an avid watcher of the Record Power Webinars and has attempted a couple of the projects they covered.

The lidded double box Carrie made a few years ago. Carrie said, “I really like it because the woodgrain flows through  each segment of the piece. The wood is Osage Orange  and gave off a delightful citrus scent as I turned it.”

Carrie also made these recessed hinged lidded boxes with decorative splines as well.

A new club member, John Chapman, has just completed his first turned lidded box!!

John has just started learning woodturning and attended our Friday morning beginners sessions before the Covid lockdown.

Congratulations John on a great first effort!!
