We have two special woodturning groups!
- Thursday morning with Rod Bew is our Beginners Group for anyone interested in learning woodturning or improving on basic skills.
- Friday morning sessions are hosted by Greg Knox, and Tony Haigh in the afternoon for our more advanced woodturners. But, anyone is welcome to attend and observe if you want.

Carrie is a club member and has recently made some beautiful turned pieces including this beautiful Sea Urchin Light.
During lockdown Carrie has been an avid watcher of the Record Power Webinars and has attempted a couple of the projects they covered.
The lidded double box Carrie made a few years ago. Carrie said, “I really like it because the woodgrain flows through each segment of the piece. The wood is Osage Orange and gave off a delightful citrus scent as I turned it.”
Carrie also made these recessed hinged lidded boxes with decorative splines as well.
A new club member, John Chapman, has just completed his first turned lidded box!!
John has just started learning woodturning and attended our Friday morning beginners sessions before the Covid lockdown.
Congratulations John on a great first effort!!
