Our Talented Toy Makers

Want to help out making toys for children?  Our Toy Makers work every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. under the watchful eye of Gaven Davis.  Come on down and join in.  There is always something that needs to be done!!

Within the club is a group of members who volunteer their time to build toys for welfare organisations to distribute to children at Christmas. Led by John Parrent the group sets aside each Wednesday to make the toys. Currently painting is the main activity required as all the toys have been made and painting is the finishing touch required.

Our talented toy makers enjoying a well deserved break!

Additionally, the team are looking for other toys to make that would be suitable for for the next Christmas.

Last year over 800 toys were available for distribution to children.

The club resources timber, paint, wheels, etc at the best prices it can to support this special community endeavor.

Toys being built this year include:

  • small wooden golf carts with clubs
  • 2 storey garages
  • both push & pull type trolleys
  • rocking swans
  • wheel barrows
  • tricycles
