Dennis Conner, on behalf of the Woodworkers of The Southern Peninsula, has recently approached the Victorian branch of Parkinsons Australia with a proposal to make wooden Red Tulips that Parkinsons Australia can then sell as a way of raising funds for their organisation. The proposal is based upon a similar scheme that Dennis found is being run in New Zealand.
Parkinsons Australia were extremely pleased that our club had come to them with this proposal to provide items that can be used as a medium for raising funds to assist their member programs. They have given their approval for WoSP to undertake the task to make the flowers for them to then sell to the general public.
WoSP has now asked it’s members to volunteer their time and skills to help make these flowers to be donated to Parkinsons Australia.
